When it comes to beach destinations, there's the Jersey Shore and there's everywhere else. Often imitated, never duplicated, the Jersey Shore is famous for its white sand beaches, bustling boardwalks, and first-class fishing and boating. Truly its own entity, with its own style, its own flavor, and even its own lingo, when you're headed there, you're going "down the shore." And once you get there, you're still "down the shore."
